- jbrotherloveDecember 29, 2013I will indulge phone booth entry, a secret code & cigar smoke for a perfectly made Aviation, Ramos Gin Fizz, & Gin Gin Mule. I encourage you to do the same.
- Meron DagnewNovember 24, 2014Great place for a date or a group night out. You can score the pswd from area bartenders. Only disclaimer -be prepared to smell like cigar smoke for the rest of your night w/in 10mins of being there.
- 360 MediaNovember 14, 2012This truly is a secret spot. You have to get a "code" to put into the phonebooth to get in the bar. Once you're in the dark bar, grab a cigar and drink - keep in mind, the bartenders pour a stiff one!
- If you find yourself in Prohibition and Tom is your drink smithy. Ask him for a Marseille Mule. A unique twist on the moscow mule crafted by Tom and my friend Richard one night in 2012. Memory pending
- Bobby NooromidJune 7, 2013To get the number (which they change every few months) to dial in the phone booth, call them in advance of going there. And if you're making a reservation, try to get the table next to the fireplace.
- Claudia ColeFebruary 1, 2013Go with a member of the lounge, its more fun. Get a Trinidad Cuban cigar in one hand and get a whiskey glass with the big cube of ice in the other...That's life
- Karen HoughtonNovember 26, 2011I love this place. It's comfortable, the mixologists are top-rate, and the food is delicious. Love Tom's Red Branch, inspired by the Red Branch Knights.
- Eskimo AdvertisingFebruary 3, 2011Super Bowl Party: 100" Screen and 42' as well with sound streaming from the broadcast. Great cocktails, fine cigars & a complimentary game day buffet. No cover but seating is first come, first serve. Read more
- Remy EAugust 16, 2011Great atmosphere. Can be smokey, but it's a Cigar bar. Drinks are great everytime & strong! Secret code entry. Remember 2 wear a collar shirt though or they will give u a funny look.
- Sarah PorriNovember 4, 2012Stefan is an amazing ambassador. All of the drinks are delicious. Take a trip back in time...if you make it in :)
- I know everyone by name and they're like family! Best cocktails in the A and ambience unlike no other.
- This place is awesome. I have brought a lot of friends here and all have been impressed (even non-smokers). Great bourbon menu and very skilled bartenders.
- Kevin BeattieJune 22, 2012Awesome implementation of a speak-easy bar, however they should ditch the cigars. The air exchange in the room is sub par, and for that reason alone we had to leave after the first drink.
- MarlyNovember 24, 2011Delicious drinks from legendary recipes plus family hand-me-down concoctions! Ask Bob the bartender for more on the history of Prohibition.
- MarlyNovember 24, 2011Order a single-barrel liquor, and you'll get an impressive ball of ice to cool your drink. Looks like a giant marble and melts slowly so your drink won't get watered down.
- Hotel TonightMay 4, 2011We're suckers for a speakeasy experience. Here, partner/mixologist Steve De Haan serves up his “prescriptions” using old-school techniques -- he even chips ice off hundred-pound blocks.
- Great ATL place to enjoy with great service. Say hello to amazing Stephan and Erin.
- deletedFebruary 19, 2013Gotta get your service from McKenzie... If u can remember what you wanted to order after she gives you that million dollar smile
- Thanks for supporting this local Biz! Ask Erin for the menus and the rules, then enjoy.
- Bruce DeLoatchAugust 11, 2012When you get here ... Relax. Slow down. Enjoy the ambiance. Ask for drink recommendations. Top shelf experience. Unless you want to get wasted. I'd so... Go somewhere else.
- If you've never experienced a Sazerac ask Tom or Bob to make you one and tell the story about this first cocktail.
- Cigars are definitely nowhere near retail but it doesn't matter, this place is legit.
- Bernheim or Blanton's Bourbon are good choices. Also, if Kevin is bartending, have him make you something special, like a Port Wine Flip.
- Rebecca LightseyMarch 15, 2011Prohibition is listed on Metromix.com as 1 of 7 places for Irish Whiskey in ATL:
http://bit.ly/h4TFcX - Love this place! Its like stepping into the past....the bartenders are amazing!
- Veronica PearmanOctober 31, 2010No "tip" yet...heading out to Prohibition this week - I'll keep you postedFirst FourSquare "Tip" - Prohibition. Hope you have Zino Platinum Cigars!
- For a mild and cold drink, try the golden girl or a port flip. Don't worry about the ingredients...
- Nashawn AMJuly 30, 2011Love the bramble and tip your bartenders well for their personalized service!
- If condescending bartenders that have no sense of urgency are your thing then this is your kind of place!! If you actually want to have more than one cocktail then you should go elsewhere!!! Rude!!!
