- Great place to stop halfway between Boston and Montreal. Easy access from exit 9 off 91, clean bathroom, awesome coffee, treats for the road and gifts to bring. Happy, fun, cute, employees.
- Ed JonesJuly 2, 2015Red Hen is the best. The almond croissants are amazing, the espresso is great, and the staff is incredibly gracious. There isn't anyone doing a better job in Central Vermont...
- Sofia UzNovember 14, 2015Coziest place just north of Burlington, fresh made bread and pastries, coffee. Some local grocery items for sale
- Marc MayerOctober 19, 2016I hope you like chocolate. Because you should eat anything on the menu with chocolate in it. You could eat whatever you want, but come on. CHOCOLATE.
- Katherine IshamMay 11, 2015Great quality bakery, but the sandwich selection is woefully limited and the staff were very standoffish and not very attentive (maybe because the owners apparently give their tips to charity?)
- Amazing bread and baked goods, breakfast sandwich and a sticky bun start the morning right!
- MaryellenSeptember 5, 2014Yummy breakfast sandwiches and great fresh coffee. Unpretentious. The coffee shop every town should have.
- Gary RichardsOctober 2, 2018The only thing more ridiculously awesome than the bread is the cranberry chutney on their turkey sandwich. They really ought to sell that!
- AmateurConciergeMay 30, 2016The scone and the fresh bread was great. Not huge on the breakfast sandwich
- There are usually two soups offered - one meat and the other meatless. All good, and a nice quick lunch.
- Amazing staff, amazing food...but they MUST bring back their incredible bacon scones!!!
- The chocolate almond croissant should be illegal! Get there first thing in the morning when they're still warm from the oven!
- Claire SpearSeptember 26, 2011Free wi-fi is a plus, but if you're bringing your laptop, make sure to have ample battery. Electric outlets are scarce.
- K FroochJuly 2, 2010Its hard to go wrong here, amazing bread, tasty treats and really good iced coffee (even the decaf).
