Serious EatsJuly 7, 2014Located near the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library (the main public library in the city), Republic offers indoor and outdoor seating with a full coffee menu, as well as a range of snacks.
Skinny Vanilla Latte & Cobb Salad are the BEST! Have w/ balsamic vinaigrette dressing! Accommodating! Allergic to nuts & eat fairly healthy. They always remove the nuts & bacon for onions & craisins!

Get the de Niro. Seems like a simple sandwich but the super sharp cheese, thick bacon and fluffy eggs combine to make it more than the sum of it's parts.
Don't be fooled by the "free WiFi" sign on the window. I've never once been able to get it to work. It shows full bars, but you can't connect to anything (at least on an iPhone, I should say).

WiFi can be pretty lame, but don't let that stop you. Chai lattes are wonderful, as is the Vegas.
Check out the latte list. It's extensive, and there are some great unique drinks to try.
I love this place, but if you are going to do work, be warned that the WiFi is absolutely unreliable. And I keep coming back.

The McKnight is the perfect combination of sweet and savory!
Check out the guy with the repuplic top hat! He gives awesome service!
Love the atmosphere, mango tea and McKnight sandwich. Wifi is spotty tho.- A year since my last review and the Wi-Fi is still as bad here as it was then.
- Get the McKnight sandwich with tofu. And ask for Sadie.
- If you are coming to do internet work, be warned that their Wi-Fi is very spotty and keeps shutting down. Hopefully, they will fix it soon.

Great place to study, but they're constantly out of stuff...- L'Augustine salad with smoked chicken is one of the best salads I've eaten
Get the Che Che sandwich, it's a bacon, egg, and cheese delight on a croissant!- Friendly staff. Good lattes. Good variety. Shady wifi.
Wi-Fi update: seems to be working fine on my iPhone this bright, early morning. :D
The Nashville is awesome. The hash brown casserole is awesome too.
