Nice and kind staffers. go for the Viking ship ride, quite amusing. Lot of junk food in the cafeteria, also a restaurant (which I didn't try). While sailing, look for a zillion jellyfishes,

The building is a royal treasure and open to the public. Lots of shows throughout the year & has a great study hall. The building itself is fascinating for its mix between old new Danish architecture.
This place is more than 250 years old! To watch - any - performance here is an amazing experience in so many ways. Expensive, but worth it!
Try and visit when the danish high school students graduate. It's a tradition for them all to visit and happily dance around the middle statue. They are all so happy.
This has got to be the scariest place in town. Once you've conquered your fear, however, the view over Copenhagen is just gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit — also for children.

Don't forget to visit The Monument for Denmark's International (military) Effort. A really nice and peaceful spot honouring the Danes deployed to conflict- and catastrophe areas; current and deceased.

Check out the place at night. During Xmas, it has a fantastic old-school festive mood in the air with nice lighting all over. Hot choco was expensive but you can keep the plastic cup for souvenir
Copenhagen's former hay market when the town hall was at Gammeltorv/Nytorv. The western end of Strøget starts here. Lots of bus routes intersect here, and most night buses start from here.
