Wednesday is $1 Taco day. Every taco is $1. This is as Mexican as Mexican gets in Richmond. Great food cheap.
$3 Fish Taco's and several other great cheap dishes available if you sit at the bar. Specials end at 7PM. Eat these.
Build a cheap lunch from the prepared foods at the front of the store. Shrimp rolls, steamed buns and lots of good other things I can't really identify or pronounce. Eat lunch here for under $5
Quiche is $5 and it's a great lunch. I hereby decree that Sub Rosa bakery has the best quiche in Richmond, Virginia. Eat quiche.
Sit in the cool green chairs near the bar. There are often good, big and cheap small plates for under $5.
Eat a sandwich, drink beer. Wear your blue collar. This place is cool.
My tip: Avoid Valentino's. (unless you're making a list of cheap restaurants) There is cheap food here, but it's not great.
