HISTORYJuly 7, 2010Previously known as the Grand Old Opry House, this auditorium first opened as the Union Gospel Tabernacle in 1892. It was built by Thomas Ryman & renamed in his honor after his death.

Dan MillerJanuary 20, 2017The self-guided tour has some interesting stuff, but unless you're a serious devotee and want to see some artifacts of the Opry, it's not worth paying full-price for.
Best venue in the world. If you are buying tickets late, you are better off anywhere on the balcony than way back on the floor level.

There is no better place to see a show than The Mother Church.
