Lots of local artisans and so many stalls! Lots of unique things, make sure you have cash handy, ATM lines get long. Try come early to avoid crowds. Walk over to Princes park afterwards to rest.

If you are a local that can make the most of the fresh produce then worth the trip. For everyone else it's just an outdoor souvenir shop run by assorted carnival folk.

Take the free city shuttle here instead of diving because parking can be quite a problem. Credit card accepted in most shop.

Get here early and enjoy the market vibe. Great fresh produce and Tasmanian crafts, but the food leaves a little to be desired.

Lots of overpriced local produce and handmade goods so it's great for tourists and last-minute buys.

The German Bratwurst was yummy and so was the firewood pizza. The mixed berries crepes were disappointing. The inside uncooked and inedible.

For lunch I recommend a bratwurst with sauerkraut, and in summer, you can't beat a cup of fresh raspberries with cream.
