Terminal 1 isn’t anything to really write home about. Pretty basic floor plan and amenities. I suspect the Delta Terminal is better. The best asset? Definitely the TRAX green line to downtown SLC
This airport has really stepped up their food game. The C terminal has Salt LakePizza and Pinkberry! Plus Cafe Rio is right around the corner and they serve breakfast burritos for the early flights!
Try to avoid this very busy hub when I can, but sometimes you have to go from PDX-SLC-MCO-ATL to get to ATL when it’s a deal. ✈️ #FrequentFlier #ThanksDelta #TravelNurseLife
Take the UTA into downtown SLC especially at rush. Time is comparable to a cab, you'll save $20 and you may see the historic Union Pacific depot and sign.
Take the time to get your shoes shined. Simple pleasure and can't find it done very often anymore. They do an excellent job too. Near C gates entrance.
Tip for parents with a layover: now that all three play areas are gone, hang out in the secluded niche at the top of terminal D instead. It's to the right of CatCora's. quiet, bathrooms near.
If you are a frequent flyer of Delta then make sure you sign up for the delta rewards and then sign up for the TSA pre check... Pre check is almost as good as the first classline...
I think the sidewalk things are getting faster. Our I'm getting slow. Either way...fun! Everything flies well here. A lot of massage stations now. Cool. Nice airport.
To get into the mall (one of the best I have ever seen) go out the front door of the hotel and turn right. Go in the first store on the right Nordstrom's.
Terminal B has an amazing organiccafe with vegan food. They even carry Kombucha! Highly recommend the chicken breast and goat cheese sandwich. Amazing.
When on a connecting flight from Seattle, LAX or SFO be conscious of the 1 hour time difference to avoid missing your flight, I did missed a flight on my first time here.
It’s fine the way it is now, but by 2020, it’s gonna be transformed into a monstrosity like DIA, after Jefferson CountyAirport. Quick in / out from NYC to my beloved mountains.
SLC maps I found on the Net in flight gave an overly complicated picture so I wondered (WHAT..!?) but this is one airport where signs were easy to follow & food & bathrooms were handy along the way.
Better than you think it's well laid out. The breweries are pretty good, smash burger is your budget joint and it's not bad, just causes some rough landings sometimes.
the wall street deli in terminal c is surprisingly really good. they actually make the sandwiches to order. ingredients are fresh & service is very friendly. breakfast wrap is delicious!!!
After traveling thru most major cities around the country, SLC airport is by far the best to deal with. Easy access to terminals and car return, and friendly TSA. Always a pleasure to travel here!
If you're injured and have a cast/boot/etc, plan for a few extra mins at security. And remember to be nice to the guards; they're just doing their job!
With construction ongoing, make sure to arrive 2 hours before your domestic flight. You're going to need the extra time if you're flying from any terminal but A.
Be prepared to walk a ridiculously long distance from gate (Southwest) to baggage claim. No trams yet. And very few food options for early morning flights.
Granatos deli in terminal 1 has the most delicious minestrone soup. For when you need something more than a cold sandwich. It's worth to stop by if you have time to spare!
This airport has some of the best food, and it's all inside security. Don't waste time at McDonald's, go to Greek souvlaki and get lemon soup and a gyro!
