Hot bar, avo-omega smoothie, chocolate chip cookies, knit hats and mittens, loose leaf tea, etc, etc! There's so much that's great about this Co-op-my favorite in the Twin Cities!
Great snacks, good vegetarian food, and a very friendly atmosphere. A little overwhelming for newcomers, but the staff is extremely helpful and friendly; and will help you become comfortable!
Oooh, yummy stuff for omnis and vegans alike. Affordable diner style food, like burgers, hot coffee, beer. Casual, grungy, hipster, queer-friendly vibe. Near radical bookstore Boneshaker Books too :)
The co-op never fails to have whatever "weird" or uncommon ingredient I'm looking for! Their produce section is beyond amazing and the hot bar never fails to smell.. and taste delicious!
One of the best post-holiday eats! All Seward's sandwiches are meat-free but still super hearty thanks in large part to their homemade herb bread and helpings of veganmayo.
Voted Best Natural Foods Grocery by City Pages in 2012. In addition to a fresh selection of organic and earth-friendly food options, this co-op offers educational resources such as hands-on workshops
Privileged white people not forced to spend 20% of their income on food certainly do eat well. They do hire East African immigrants, but then mostly for cleaning (with magical eco-water though).

Professionally sourced produce, great staff, clean, good selection, and pricing. Remember, as an coop member you get 10% once a quarter & patronage refunds in cash when profitable.
For sausages that are fresh, exotic, and high quality this place cannot be beat in this neck of town. It doesn't hurt that they're as big as baseball bats either.
hot deli - rotating daily with incredible soups. like the refrigerated section (ethiopian sides with fresh injerabread and greek salad bar as well. Fresh seafood from Coastal Seafoods!
I'm a sucker for a good hot deli - one of the places I frequent for hot food, soups and to go ethiopian when I don't have the time or energy to do it myself... Menu rotates daily!
Voted Best Natural Foods Grocery by City Pages in 2010. The impressive cheese section boasts more than 100 varieties from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa alone.
No longer completely vegetarian, no more carafes of steamed cold press, and now serving alcohol. Doesn't even seem like the same place anymore. I can still recommend the biscuits and gravy.
