LaCrescent is the most commonly planted white grape in Vermont due to is outstanding fruit character & cold-hardy quality. Each year, it exhibits a distinctive, fragrant, floral aroma. This vintage bursts w/ lively fruit flavors & just a touch of sweetness. It finishes smoothly w/ lingering notes of stone fruits.

This red wine is an homage to the spouses, partners & families of our hard working vineyard & winery staff. This red wine is a semi-dry blend of Vermont grown grapes. The aroma is fresh & fruity w/ the texture is rich w/ a touch of sweetness & a lingering berry finish. Serve at room temperature or chilled to brighten the juicy fruit notes.
2011 Vermont Marquette Reserve – New Release

Vermont grown & produced, Marquette is the leading red for our region. Two barrels of our 2011 vintage were set aside to age sur lie & in oak for 16 months to amplify the fruits characteristics & obtain a fuller mouth-feel. This wine expresses notes of rich berries & earth w/ a luscious mouth-feel & an exuberant personality. Layers of flavor lead to a satisfyingly soft finish.
2011 Cayuga White

The Cayuga White Grape exudes crisp fruit, mostly of grapefruit both in aroma & taste. The small amounts of Riesling & Chardonnay serve to round out its mouth feel & provide a lingering finish.

Our 2012 Louise Swenson is made from grapes grown on our McCabe’s Brook Vineyard in Shelburne Vermont. The aroma is soft & savory. This dry white wine has subtle notes of tropical fruits, clean acidity & a stony minerality.
2012 Whimsey Meadow Rosé – New Release

Our Vermont grown Rosé is a blend of the Northern Varietals Marquette, St. Croix, Frontenac Gris & Louise Swenson. It has a medium body, subtle sweetness & crisp acidity that play off each other delightfully. The aroma is fruity, while the taste is thirst quenching & juicy.
2011 Duet Ice Wine

Made from the Vermont grown varieties, Vidal Blanc & Arctic Riesling, this authentic ice wine glides softly on the palate. The finish is long & has a well-balanced refreshing acidity. Rich fruit flavors of melon & pear make for a perfect ending to a hearty meal.

A delicate semi-dry blend of Cayuga, Chardonnay & Gewurztraminer. This wine awakens the palate w/ a subtle sweetness & a crisp finish that make it perfect for sipping on a hot & sunny day

Marquette
This Pinot Noir hybrid developed by the University of Minnesota is super cold hardy & disease resistant while producing outstanding quality red wines w/ complex notes of cherry, berry, pepper & spice.
LaCrescent
A recent hybrid developed at the University of Minnesota has excellent winter hardiness & produces white wines w/ distinct apricot, citrus & peach aromas & flavors. Wines can be made off-dry or sweet.
Prairie Star
Another Elmer Swenson hybrid. This white wine grape produces wine w/ a delicate floral nose & is best used as a blending component to add body to a thinner wine.
Riesling
Considered one of the “Noble” grape varieties, this traditional cool climate European grape (vitis Vinifera) produces a wonderfully aromatic crisp white wine w/ bright acidity & notes of peach & honeysuckle in our vineyard.
Petite Pearl
A very new Minnesota hybrid red wine grape w/ excellent cold hardiness & disease resistance. Produces complex wines w/ soft tannins & low acidity.
St. Croix
This cold hardy hybrid, developed by Elmer Swenson is well suited to our climate. It produces red wine w/ berry, tobacco & spice characteristics & is used primarily for blending.
Louise Swenson
An Elmer Swenson hybrid (and named after his wife) , this varietal makes white wines light in body w/ a moderate acidity & w/ delicate aromas of flowers & honey. Well suited for blending.
Vidal Blanc
A hardy French American hybrid white wine grape. Requires a long season to produce the sugars needed for dessert wines. Used primarily for late harvest dessert wines & ice wines.
Arctic Riesling
This grape has winter hardy qualities w/ a unique pear flavor profile & is used for our signature late harvest dessert & ice wines. The nursery stock for this vinifera varietal was supplied to us in 2000 by the pioneering Konstantin Frank Finger Lakes vineyard.
