- Tere PerryAugust 9, 2018Not just your typical coffee shop, this hip spot also serves beer and wine, plus sweets and flatbread pizza. The crispy crust makes this pizza just right to pair with a bottle of wine.
- Prateek SadhanaJanuary 11, 2015The espresso on a rainy Sunday morning was perfect start for the day!! :) the staff was knowledgeable about espresso and they had different beans for coffee, which was nice compared to other cafes.
- Jake HaenchenMay 30, 2013I had an iced soy chai, which turned out not to be in my particular taste. That being said, the tea in all it's forms is absolutely wonderful, as well as the homemade Oreos!
- Garreth MimsMay 6, 2016Get the namesake regular Espresso shot and you won't be disappointed. Blacksmith handles milk drinks better, Inversion has the best coldbrew
- David CaldwellFebruary 3, 2013Hands down, the best cappuccino I've had. Though the cortado didn't blow me away, the cappuccino and the fantastic staff will earn them many repeat visits.
- Tucked behind Uchi, Southside has a small and inviting patio. Have an espresso pulled by some of the best talent in town.
- Stephen LuoAugust 6, 2013Oh! They are coffee nerds! Both of them! Love this place, great coffee, feels like both coffee shop and bar. Nice stopby in the museum district.
- The milk tea they currently have in their rotation is interesting!! In a very very good way. (It's not tea with milk in it; the leaves have an intrinsically milky flavor)
- Tyler NeelyDecember 20, 2013If you are not the biggest coffee fan, or into trying something different, try the kickin kombucha. Made in Houston, it is a slightly fermented tea that has multiple amazing flavors.
- Mark GrohmanAugust 8, 2013Good service and great coffee. I recommend ordering your cup to be preheated by filling it with steaming hot water just prior to pouring in your warm drink for the ultimate in quality.
- My Table MagazineMarch 27, 2013As soon as you’re done with work, take advantage of a 4 to 7 pm happy hour featuring discounted wine and beer sold in bottles or poured from four taps of local craft beer. Read more
- Shawn ChippendaleDecember 13, 2012Best latte I've ever had in Houston...and a cool space with a great roofdeck. The milk is so rich you don't even need sugar.
- Joshua JagnananMarch 3, 2013Great espresso, eclectic music, and interesting people all add up for a great coffee spot. Stop here if you're heading to Uchi or are in the area.
- this is the mother flippin' mother ship in HOU for drip coffee, cappucino, espresso, fun, laughs, stories and magic. prepare for takeoff.
- Colin DismukeSeptember 13, 2014The espresso is delicious and it's a great place to hang out if you can get one of the few seats.
- I like this place a lot better than Black Hole. It's a no-nonsense place to focus on reading and writing but also a great place for conversation.
- Isaac GustinOctober 29, 2016Love this place, friendly, and excellent coffee. The dirty iced chai latte with a double shot of espresso👌🏻
- Chemex & double espressos are great. Not to your taste? The staff will happily accommodate your change of heart.
- Dakota CarterFebruary 9, 2013Iced vanilla lattes are amazing. Great atmosphere for studying or chatting with friends. My new favorite place!
- Attention paleo pals! You can get vegan treats here and lattes with coconut milk or almond milk. Delish!
- Had to do a double take, for a second it seemed they were tapped into one of my playlists... Yes, the music is good here.
- Come during the late fall/early winter for a caramel apple cider or a sweet potato latte.
- Every barista does things just a little differently, but it's always a consistently good experience.
- Small but excellent, varied selection of beers here. Great place for happy hour
- Parking is difficult. Bike here for easy entrance and exit. Otherwise park behind the building--they share space w/ uchi.
- Stephen ColeJuly 28, 2013Loved the little place. Excellent barista making the lates. Will cone again.
- Liza AbadJuly 12, 2015The coffee here is first rate, but they really need to re-think the pastry items. The baked goods are mammoth and bland!
- You can get up to three refills on the water for your teas :)
- Gregg HartlingOctober 8, 2014Came here randomly on the way to the airport and was really impressed with their flat white.
- Come try their seasonal syrups! Almond or Spiced Orange
- The homemade "Oreo" is ridiculous. Imagine a cousin of a whoopie pie, but oh so much better!
