Lovely little island. It’s fun to walk along the causeway as the tide is lowering. We wandered around & didn’t go into the castle or gardens and it was still a great short walk.

Massively enjoyed both the castle and the gardens. The gardens especially with their specific detail on succulents placed playfully in every crevice of rock they could reach. One for landscape geeks!!

Well worth a visit (try to walk on the causeway one way, and boat the other), the house is interesting and beautiful, but the gardens are breathtaking. Take a picnic or visit one of the food kiosks.

Loved both the castle and the gardens. The gardens especially. Highly recommended for anyone with a love for landscapes and gardening. The causeway is also a great picture spot!

Ferries go over (when the causeway is covered) before the opening time for the castle and gardens. Worth getting there early, around 10:00 before it gets busy. Gardens are well worth going into.

Walk across the causeway at low tide. The castle and the views are amazing. Make sure to wear shoes that are good for climbing- the climbs aren't for the timid. Make sure to see the gardens!

This was the highlight of our trip to Cornwall - beautiful scenery, castle and grounds so well kept, unique tidal island.

Beautiful place with a lot of history and great lookouts! Especially the church in the heart of the castle which is from the 12th century!

Just about everything is fantastic - heck of a climb though. But when you get to the top - wow! Both outside & in.

Better than its French counterpart in all its aspects! And the walk towards the mount over the causeway is lovely!

Lovely place if you tide is out you grab the boat but if not ca walk along the corseway. Only downfall is that there is no information to tell you what the palace is about.

You won't be too excited if you have seen Mount St. Michel, but some people like this one better, it's absolutely adorable even just to walk around after everything is closed.

Going by feet when it's low tide is a must-do but be sure that the castle is open before going there

Come just after high tide when the road to the Mount is still partially under water. Great experience to wade through.

If you have a little one, take a sling or carrier. It's not pushchair friendly. You can also hire petty nifty hip seat carriers but they can be a little awkward.

The views are excellent and the castle and gardens are very nice but the climb is a bit steep.

If you're in Cornwall, this is a must see. The tide covered the causeway while we were inside, so we took an unexpected boat trip back to the mainland. Oh, and do the gardens. Beautiful.

There can be waits to enter the castle itself during busy season, so plan accordingly.

If its wet/raining....foggy - the cobbles leading up to the castle will be slippery!

You have to get back to land before the tide comes in, otherwise it's a rowing boat back

Total tourist trap. Castle expensive and the little of it you get access to is pretty lame. View from outside is one if few redeeming features.
