- Spencer HoltawayJune 6, 2019Superior single room is great for a solo traveler looking for a central location. Modern room right in the middle of everything. If you get one to the rear of the hotel, it’s very quiet, too!
- Amazing glimpse into what has been and is there no more. Old-school to the rotten core. Location and environment is brilliant though. Suspiciously full of African royalty.
- The hotel is located to all the sights in the centre. The full English breakfast is delicious! Rooms are clean. There was 1 thing that I couldn't find fully satisfying, the doulbe bed's size, is small
- Alexey ZernovFebruary 25, 2014Rooms are small, but nice and clean. Very good location. An Iron and ironing board are available upon request. Lots of theatres around.
- Chris RustedApril 30, 2020Very good location. Lots of great restaurants and pubs nearby. A few minutes to Covent Gardens. One of our favourites.
- Miguel Ángel QuevedoAugust 6, 2017Lovely place. Location is its best. Rooms are small but nice. I recommend it, I have been two times and i will repeat
- Iris BlueJanuary 23, 2013Excellent value, great location, free wi- fi, no air con ( in london in winter it's not really an issue, so just ask for an high floor to avoid the noise of the Strand)
- AlexandraFebruary 9, 2019Super nice hotel with central location, good service, big tasteful breakfast and amazing gin bar.
- Close to everything, walk to Piccadilly, Covent Garden, Chinatown.
- julianlstarJanuary 17, 2014Excellent staff, good value, free papers/magazines and comfortable bed. Only downside was the noise of the central heating
- Lisa NakamuraSeptember 14, 2012Very big towels. Beds are among the best I've slept on in London. We were very comfortable sharing a room with a sofa bed with our 11 year old.
- Caroline Kay Hwa TanMarch 4, 2012Pretty decent tea at 13 pounds per person. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try out high-tea :)
- I always stay here. Small but well equipped rooms. Clean and tidy. Recommended for a short business stay.
- Tien NguyenMarch 9, 2014The location is great but there is zero noise insulation. I could literally hear the phone vibration from the room next door, let alone the sounds from the streets. Not sure I would stay here again.
- Lilinha EspindulaJanuary 6, 2013Great location, ask for a room at the back of the hotel instead of facing the Strand for a peaceful evening!
- Tobias EngströmAugust 5, 2011Very nice hotel with good location. The only negative thing is that the room is boiling hot and there is no air con!!
- E v e yFebruary 24, 2014Great for single travelers though theres no mini bar. Small but got all i need.
- Sarah SmithAugust 15, 2011Really handy for Covent Garden, Leicester square and lots of theatres. A handy base when visiting London.
- Mehmet GozetlikSeptember 25, 2011good for cold days! breakfast is OK, not perfect! Internet and TV is free for Exc. room. perfect location!
- Andy .March 26, 2014The McDonald's version of the Savoy opposite: McSavoy. I quite like it though. Less pretentious. More real people. 'Hello, Bouquet residence.'
- Great location, nice and clean rooms for a very reasonable price
- Rooms are comfy and staff are good. No A/C. Get a room on a high floor to avoid street noise
- Loved staying here but the elevators seem to be in a crisis, they're the slowest ever!
- Michael WMarch 10, 2012If you want to use your wireless on your phone you can enter the access code using your web browser.
- prince of ArroganceNovember 30, 2016I understand that it's an old hotel, but it's out dated now and needs renovating. The location is what saves this place.
- This is the worst hotel I have ever been. Rooms are small (5 square meters, it seems to me), bathroom is awful, and two bags with new things were stolen from my room by housekeeping!!!
- Club singles are excellent value. Always book early and get breakdast elsewhere.
- Henk BIjsterboschMarch 7, 2011Corner rooms like 106 or 208 provide excellent value for money and Strand view.
- Glory KadiganFebruary 1, 2015Worst hotel. Do not stay here. Tiny coffin of a room with no heat and no noise insulation. Concierge sold us tickets TWICE to shows that did not exist. They charge 2 pounds for a tourist map!
- Ross FowkesJune 20, 2012The lack of air con really let's the place down. Apart from that, it's really quite pleasant.
- Adam StephensonFebruary 8, 2011Avoid drinking in hotel lounge bar, its really expensive and only offers bottle beer. Instead pop around the corner to The Hops bar which belongs to the hotel but It's much cheaper and serves pints.
