- Christy LandesJanuary 13, 2015I want to love this place. The service and selection of Mexico- style enchiladas are outstanding. Not spicy or interesting enough flavors for me. Example: mole tasted only of chocolate.
- Wonderful local Mexican food option. Fajitas are delicious. More enchilada options than any other restaurant. Great service.
- EaterOctober 5, 2011The famed Sylvia is not only good at packing people in her restaurant, she also teaches cooking classes…that's how you know she's legit. [Eater 38 Member]
- Jon E GrooveMay 6, 2015Don't really know what's good, I know what's on the "Okay" side... To say that this place has the best enchiladas in Houston is a very bold statement, and a false one, unfortunately.
- Rob SharkJanuary 14, 2013They sometimes have cabrito, excellente!.Lubbock enchiladas are the best around and they use cheddar cheese which is unfortunately rare outside of ninfas and el tiempo.Places that use velveeta suck!
- Yvette VillarrealNovember 17, 2013The enchiladas are amazing! Great flavor. The rice is also very good, it represents what true Mexican rice should taste like.
- Chris BradleySeptember 30, 2015Beef fajitas (and I don't like beef or fajitas), but incredibly tender, and you can taste the real mesquite vs mesquite flavoring at other places.
- Rob SharkJanuary 14, 2013You can get a Mexican Caesar salad instead of beans and rice. That alone is one of the best things I have seen at any Mexican restraunt.
- Convenient location, average menu options, so-so margaritas
- Love the tortilla soup. . . Great flavor and chunks of avocado.
