Coffee‎
Our coffee is roasted for us right here in pittsburgh by la prima coffee. They roast several coffees that are certified fair trade and organic. We are happy to carry some of them among our many coffee offerings.
Types of coffees available (hot or iced)
Coffee‎: Espresso Drinks
African, central and south american coffees are roasted together to create the full, rich, smooth flavor of classic espresso
Cappucino
Equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam.
Italian Macchiato
Espresso "marked" with a dallop of milk foam.
Red Eye
(Shot in the dark) brewed coffee with a shot of espresso.
Latte
Espresso, steamed milk, and a little milk foam.
Espresso
A classic one ounce shot of rich, delicious espresso.
Caramel Macchiato
A latte flavored with caramel, and with whipped cream on top.
Coffee‎: Brewed Coffees
House Blend
Our house coffee is a sumatra bean. This fair trade organic coffee is grown 1500 meters above sea level. It is a full-bodies rich coffeewith a pleasant aroma and a mild sharpness.
House Decaf
Our house decaf coffee is also a full-bodied roast sumatra coffee. Great coffee taste, without the caffienne.
Firehouse Bold
Roast especially for the fire escape our smoky-flavored house dark roast comes from a combination of african and central american beans to create our boldest and heaviest roast.
Flavored Coffee
For those that like a flavored coffee, these are roast right in. Our flavored coffee changes monthly. Check in-store for this month's flavor.
Tea‎
Our brewed tea comes from renowned gourmet tea blenders: harney and sons. All of our teas come in large stuffed sachets for maximum flavor. These teas are also available in tins to take home your favorite flavor.

English Breakfast
Our english breakfast has an ancient pedigree. Researchers have traced its heritage back to the black tea the english drank regularly in the 1800's. It is, simply, china black - 100% keemun. A simple but delicious way to start your hectic day!
Paris
This blend is reminiscent of one of the most popular blends in paris. It is a fruity black tea with a hint of lemony bergamot.
Earl Grey Supreme
Earl grey supreme uses a higher grade of teas along with the addition of silver tips. If you love bergamot and fine tea, this is the blend for you.
Pomegranate Oolong
The extra large leaves of ti quan yin oolong are deliciously infused with tangy pomegranate to create this inspiring blend.
Hot Cinnamon Sunset
Our most popular flavored tea, this is a blend of black teas, three types of cinnamon, orange peel, and sweet cloves.
Tea‎: Decaffinated Tea Selection
African Autumn
We are not even sure that africa has an autumn, but the marriage of herbal redbush, cranberry and oranges suggests that it makes sense, and should be considered.
Peppermint Herbal
The‎ peppermint leaves from oregon produce a great smelling and crisp tasting tisane. We find a cup of this can also get a pesky stomach under control in no time.
Chamomile Herbal
Egypt provides us with the finest chamomile flowers of which we use only flower heads - no extenders. This produces a tisane with definite body.
Citron Green
Citron flavored green tea is recommended for customers interested in trying green tea for the first time. The delicate citrus flavor and beautiful orange flavors provide a gentle introduction into the world of green tea.
Frozen Drinks‎
We have frozen coffee and chocolate drinks, made by big train, and al natural fruit smoothies made by dr. smoothie.
We also carry a few other less natural, but totally delicious flavors of blended coffee/creme drinks

Pineapple Paradise

We usually have blueberry, and we often have chocolate chip, raspberry, lemon, peach and whatever suits our fancy as we are baking.

These aren't always available, but when they are yum!

Chili & Soup‎
We always have firehouse chili. Mcelhaney family farms, located in hookstown, pa raise cattle without the use of hormones or antibiotics in thier feed. These local cattle are used in a delicious chili made by a kitchen near the mcelhaney's. This chili is slightly spicy, as chili should be, but it's not too hot.
Cold Summer Soups‎
We make our own fresh gazpacho, and have it available most every day in the summer. We also try our hand at other cold summer soups
