Bring a beach chair and laptop for a wonderfully peaceful place to work amongst the columns. The north side gets less sun making it nice even in the mid-80s. Move to the south side in cooler weather.

CharlesJuly 7, 2013The Parthenon was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition and is located in Centennial Park. It's definitely worth making the trip to see if passing through or visiting Nashville.

But actually better because you can see the beauty and what it looked like originally. Truly same size and neat to visit. Don't forget the gardens in the spring.

The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals.
