- Cathy 🐰July 3, 2014No wait at 5:30 pm. Good amount of table and bar seating. Has outdoor seating. Pork belly ramen is pretty flavorful. Much better than ramen underground. Good sized portion to feel full. $12-$16
- Salmon Donburi is not always on the menu but ask if you don't see it because it is amazing!! Actually addicted to this dish! Salmon with a kewpi sauce, rice, right amount of spicy and greens.
- They aren't worth the San Francisco markup for a special trip, but being right near work, it's a nice change of pace from other neaby food options. The soy-cured eggs are the best ever.
- Arte YescasNovember 23, 2015shrimp ramen is wonderful, very tasty, big serving, little bit heavy at night. loved the pork buns and beef dumplings as appetizers.
- Staff PicksJuly 28, 2014Ramen lovers, there is a new spot in San Francisco you can check out. The Ramen Bar is now open on California St. We hear the Tokyo-style kurobuta pork ramen is great. Read more

- Jordan StanisciaSeptember 4, 2014Hokkaido-style Ramen was amazing! A little spice with a lot of buttery creamy goodness makes the broth awesome. My whole table is smiling from this meal.
- Paige CJuly 11, 2016Delicious ramen and fantastic appetizers. The staff is wonderful! Try their drinks too!
- Paul CunninghamJuly 17, 2015The Tokyo ramen and the Hokkaido ramen are good. Love the soy cured egg. don't build your own or it'll get expensive.
- Mansi ShahMarch 3, 2016Vegetarian ramen isn't normally good, this place makes it so well. Also the soy cure egg is worth the extra money
- Jensen HusseyAugust 27, 2014Super delicious. Sweet corn in the Hokkaido is great in their broth. H8ers go back to McKatanaya.
- Flora HinojosaJuly 18, 2016Ramen is good here and I usually don't like raw yolk but their tea egg is like butter. So good.
- Have a seat at the bar and enjoy watching the food being prepared!
- H KNovember 26, 2015On the pricey end of SF ramen scene. Good ramen but not as authentic as some other places like Ramen Dojo.
- HopeAugust 22, 2014I know what you're thinking, "who the hell gets tea here?!" But their Royal Milk Tea is actually not bad if you are looking for that specific flavor profile. Skip their boba though.
- Jessica ChoateJuly 9, 2014I was so hyped for this place but $16 for a green tea and mediocre mushroom ramen that was a anti-climatical flavor palate & overly mayo salmon dumburi and the finaly "we don't serve lemons w/lunch"
- Great decor/atmosphere but subpar ramen (the broth in particular), especially for the high pricetag.
- Sarah LizAugust 23, 2014I'm going to stick with Katanya and Ramen Underground. I tried the ramen and the duck pork bun and the flavors were bland and blah. To overrated #SFtasteBuds #NoBridgeandTunnel
- Grace YoonJuly 30, 2016Fine for a quick chow down and leave for a typical lunch break. Otherwise, not worth your time and bite. Also, the Toyko-style, described as "spicy," is disappointingly mild.
- Nicole AptekarSeptember 16, 2014Spendy ramen (for SF), not particularly flavorful. Head to ramen underground instead!
- J LiSeptember 4, 2015The noodles are maybe the worst ramen noodles I've had. You'd do better with instant noodles. Otherwise, it was okay, the sake bomb was nice.
- Chuck ReynoldsAugust 9, 2014Little overpriced for regular tasting Ramen. Worth going but there are better places for the price.
- HopeAugust 21, 2014Poorly executed broth, which is what a good bowl of ramen is about. I'd advise skipping it.
