- Brittany VanBibberSeptember 17, 2013Oh. My. Deliciousness. Get anything with roast beef in it. And the fries are to die for. Delivery might take a while though- its a pretty popular takeout place.
- Annie LuOctober 12, 2012Perfect drunk food. Go for the Popeye for melty, roast beefy goodness w/ just enough spinach to trick yourself into thinking it's healthy. Opt for the bisque fries instead of the cheez fries.
- Time Out New YorkOctober 5, 2011Try the gloriously sloppy That Way, creamy Lioni Latticini mozzarella & juicy gravy made from thickened pan drippings crown this roast beef sandwich. It’s one of our #100best dishes & drinks of 2011. Read more

- Nina LoSchiavoApril 23, 2012Their seasoned thick cut fries remind me of the kind you get on the boardwalk at the beach. I mean this in the best possible way.
- Riley McCormickOctober 21, 2011Even though the Popeye costs more - it's worth it. You get a lot more meat and the spinach/garlic/provolone are AWESOME. You must give it a try once.
- The Wall Street JournalAugust 26, 2010The roast-beef sandwiches come This Way (on a roll with au jus and Cheez Whiz, $5.50), That Way (with gravy and mozzarella, $8.50), or Something Else (Cheez Whiz, fries and mozzarella, $12.50). Read more

http://ow.ly/8QjDQ - Village VoiceSeptember 15, 2010The pastrami is a must have- The meat is way-smoky and gloriously fatty and a lovely shade of deep red. Untraditionally, coleslaw is put in the sandwich, along with the expected grainy mustard.
- Dishling NYCJanuary 30, 2011The Roast Beef Sandwich is the most popular in the city. The Pastrami Sandwich is the 4th most popular (behind the usual suspects: Katz's Deli, Carnegie Deli and 2nd Ave Deli).
- DensMay 11, 2010This place is pretty great. You're not going to beat $4.50 for the Roast Beef sammy and the Pastrami @ $7 is a legit option to Katz's $16 tourist trap. If you go pastrami, hold the cole slaw.
- Great comfort food. I love that you get a slider with every beer purchase.
- Sean StenstromFebruary 21, 2014best roast beef & pastrami sandwiches & fries - standing room only - East Village
- Bill KAugust 1, 2010The pastrami's great, but the "Something Else" (roast beef w mozz, gravy, au jus, and steak fries all piled in together) is the way to go.
- Frank KimJuly 16, 2011The hand-cut fries are amazing, they have this like fried chicken fry on them, the This Way was da bomb!
- $3 for beer in a can and a roast beef slider is a great deal. Get it with whiz.
- The That Way is tasty and delicious. The hero's a bit too big, so go for the roll.
- Andrew CerdaOctober 11, 2011Want something light? Create your own tuna on rye with provolone, tomato, lettuce, and mustard! Yummies!!
- amooliaMarch 23, 2012Upgrade your drunk food here- open LATE! Free slider with any beer how can you say no?

- Tim VetterMarch 3, 2011Ask for your "This Way" with the au jus on the side to prevent the sandwich turning into a soggy mess. Dip, then drink the leftovers.

- Sean GanannJanuary 30, 2010"This Way" or "That Way" you really can't go wrong with the roast beef. Better yet grab a friend and go both ways.
- Sandwiches are smaller, no broccoli rabe anymore, AND is it me or did they move the counter to the right side?!?!? Seems the place is shrinking :(
- Ask them to drizzle some au jus on your That Way sandwich. Sublime.
- The Pastrami here is better than Katz's, with none of the obscure incantations needed.
