- Lovely local family restaurant. Spacious with great staff for when you want more than the taqueria experience. Love the enchiladas.
- Nico PitneyMarch 14, 2022"If you're looking for a family atmosphere, Tia Margarita is for you. Family-owned since 1963, Tia Margarita is designed to foster community, with recipes going back over 50 years."
- Portion sizes are large. Also, a burrito is an option for the large or small combo!
- Sassy service at the bar, but the double top shelf margarita is, well, top shelf.
- Sit at the bar, order a margarita, and split a meal with a buddy. It will be great!
- Always double up here. Double margarita with double burritos is a perfect combo!
- Veronica EscamillaSeptember 2, 2013Great margaritas and awesome atmosphere & service ♡ Antonio our waiter
- neighborhood institution. great home cooked mexican food. better than tommy's IMO.
- Nancy JengJanuary 22, 2010Order a margarita and wait to see what "Tia" brings you... because it likely will not be a margarita. you'll know "Tia" as the older woman who is confused and hilarious.
- chrisFebruary 19, 2017You're paying a lot for a large plate of below average food and strong but uninteresting margaritas. Go elsewhere. Really too bad San Francisco can't do Mexican food right outside of taquerias.
- Come for drinks but eat first. Tried several times but always disappointed in the food.
- If you want an excellent extra strength Margarita, sit at the bar. Trust me.
- Taylor SmithOctober 15, 2011Best service, really! Fresh chips & killer red salsa (especially the personal stash ;) never stopped coming to our table. Food is always fresh. Did I mention awesome service!?!?! Always love you guys!
- ErinAugust 14, 2013Margaritas are okay--literally every table in the house ordered at least one. Try it! I'm still a Tommy's fan!
- Nikil SwamySeptember 17, 2018Interior is nice but food isn’t. Chimichanga is dry and filled with rice and they forgot to give guacamole and sour cream with take out order.
- Teresa BerryOctober 2, 2017The most egregious thing, bill was $39.75 They charged my card $47.70. They would not make it right I had to call my bank and now I have to go back to the restaurant. This place is bad do not go here.
- SFConciergeMay 23, 2010Thought prices were super high for kids menu and not exactly family friendly. Service was scattered, but nice. In that hood stick I'll stick to Tommy's~ much better margs. and food. (my opinion)
- Emily BJune 19, 2014Definitely not "cheap" by any means. $15 for a burrito. Just got a margarita that was very mundane
