Interesting mix of old school food stands and hipster ones. Good butcher. I would most head here for lunch or on the weekend. Like Pignut and the Poutine Kitchen for food.
I would visit this place alone for the smell of baking bread when one walks in. Great bread, pretzels and buns. Breads all look great (haven't tried them all). Nice stop for bread fans
Interesting art, great location. Recommend it to anyone interested in contemporary modern art. Book ahead or call when they open if you are lucky there might be some last minute cancellations.
Friendly pharmacy, if there are line ups they move quite fast. Prices are fine as far as I can tell. My to go pharmacy in the area.
A bit off the beat path but good ice cream. Medium cone has quite a bit of ice cream on it. Nice selection of classic ice cream flavors. Stop by if you are in the area :)
Great for fresh and smoked cheeses. Always stop here to stock up on local cheeses to bring back home. They also have a selection of cold cuts and breads and also make sandwiches on request.
Very cute bistro. Interesting and affordable ‘traditional’ food wt a modern spin. Great selection of Italian wines. Beer on tap including a nice IPA. Cosy especially evenings, friendly staff. Liked it
Hidden below ground this supermarket has an alright selection of food. Remember to weigh and label fruits & veggies :)
Best Indian restaurant in the area. Great samosas, haven’t tried all the dishes but so far everything has tasted quite good. Low key decor area is a bit dodgy but food is worth it!
Old school decor & dishes lovely to see a restaurant that has stayed true to its history and roots. Lots of fried fish. Try the Fassbrause a fermented pop drink (non-alcoholic). Visit if in the area!
Best coffee in Lipari. They use a very dark roast so be warned. In-house coffee roasted every 10 days can also sold. With coffee one can request still or bubbly water. Drink water BEFORE coffee :)
Good thin pizza. Quite like the classics, pizza bianca e margherita. Supplì e other fried foods also allright. Ok location to eat but one can get the food to go.
Fast option to the airport. Signage to train a bit cryptic. It usually leaves from track 24. Otherwise clean new train. Not the cheapest option to get the airport (14 euro) but possibly the fastest.
Freshly filled cannoli either plain or with pistachios both are great and the best on island. Granita is also quite good. Lots of lovely fruit shaped marzipan pastries. A bit hidden but a must!
Limited numbers of bentobox servings so be early or call ahead. Otherwise they also have a mixed rice bowl which is also good but not as fun & fancy as the bentobox!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of whiskey and Strongbow cider on tap. Some seating outside when warmer out.
Love this place! A must every time I am in the area! Rösti is GREAT. Quite like it with calf liver or Condon blue, all options good. Friendly staff. Reserve if you can. Outside seating in warm months.
