- Kayleigh HarringtonSeptember 10, 2014The wheat beer is the standard, the saison is delicious, but ask to sample a few if you're interested in something new. Wish you could purchase in NY. Liked the Pulled pork (BBQ) and edamame hummus.
- Scott BrewerDecember 18, 2014Pretty much as you'd expect - all beer was good, food was good. Biggest standout was the bottle caps. By far the prettiest I've ever encountered!
- ArslanJanuary 12, 2016Quick Order: Classic Burger with french fries, plus wheat beer. Their burger is delicious, and the fries are killer.
- Buford DouglasApril 26, 2019Atlas Obscura recommends as a place to try Persimmon Beer (made since colonial times in the US, modern times in Indiana)
- The Bloomington Upland is by far my favorite food-serving brewery. Great food, atmosphere, and brews found here!
- Todd AlexanderOctober 28, 2015Best most well established brewery in Bloomington. Possibly the best food in the city as well.
- Get a 12 oz beer while you wait for your growler fill. No extra charge! Also one of the only ways to buy any kind of alcohol on Sundays. DO. IT.
- Tell your server that your interested in a tour of the brewery and (s)he'll usually hook you up. Free samples and a lot of info about how beer is brewed. Cheers!
- Kim BlackMay 2, 2011Buy a growler. $3 for the bottle and then add the cost of the beer. 5-6 beers for a great price. Plus you can refill the growler as much as you want. The Upland Wheat is my favorite!
- Sean MolinAugust 22, 2013A heads up: After two "high ABV" brews they won't serve any more alcohol. Period. 24 hour lockout. If you want more than two beers (even with food) only have one beer over 9% ABV. Aggressive policy.
- Chris ScottFebruary 24, 2015The food is great and the beer is even better. The manager Angela is the bomb, very friendly.
- Ashton KleemannOctober 7, 2014Always a stop on my Bloomington trips. Sit in Dan's section, and tell em Ashton says, "fuck you, you still owe me a good high five"
- The food (from the burger section of the menu) was well prepared (and tasty).
- Lots of vegetarian options and a nice outdoor area. Also, one of the few places in Bloomington that serves food past 10pm.
- Global HighlanderAugust 10, 2014Enjoy the Upland beer (pitchers are often economical). The Buffalo Burger is quite good.
- Tried the gumbo. Small portion size and lacking any of the seafood it claimed to have. Think I saw two pieces of okra. Craft beer was excellent though.
- Amanda BrownApril 27, 2013Sit outside, order a bourbon beer and the fish and chips and you are pretty much set for life.
- First Friday of the month is First Freakin' Friday Firkin! Get whatever is available from the firkin, because it sells out fast!
- Amazing vegan food options! Try the BBQ seitan sandwich.
- Erin KingAugust 31, 2014Left after receiving attitude from the hostess about their hour wait on a Sunday night and their boiling taproom... Glad we found Function where we got a table immediately!
- VisitBtownMay 11, 2013Try the Three Li'l Pigs - Pork tenderloin, BBQ, bacon...and Gouda. Enough said.
- their beers are amazing and the food is really good too. Several healthy options.
- The chipotle Reuben is to die for...will be back for this, multiple times a month!
- Flash jervisApril 1, 2013They don't have ranch dressing, they have horseradish which tastes well like horseradish. The ginger dressing would go good on Asian food.
- Derek JonesSeptember 7, 2013Try the Three Li'l Pigs - I'm not religious, but I've just had a religious experience.

- Sean TApril 28, 2010Definitely try the Dragonfly IPA. While you are at it give the Talapia a try... the service is excellent.
