The urban athletics classes are a 45 minute high-intensity blend of bodyweight exercises, speed & agility training, dumbbell & kettlebell training & more. Each class is lead by an instructor, taking you through your workout step-by-step, just like personal training without the added cost. This way you don’t have to worry about what you’re workout will be each day, nor do you have to question if you’re doing an exercise incorrectly. There is always a coach on staff to lead you through each workout. Urban athletics classes are offered 18 times a week from early mornings to evenings & weekends. Kettlebell Kaos
The kettlebell kaos classes are for those who already posess a certain level of kettlebell training knowledge. The Kettlebell Kaos classes are a 45 minute high-intensity blend of more advanced kettlebell training exercises. Kettlebell specific classes are offered 4 times a week, 2 beginner classes & 2 intermediate/advanced classes. However kettlebell exercises are an intricate part of our regular programming as well. The focus of the Kettlebell Fusion & Kaos classes is to accomplish an overall increase in muscular strength & lean muscle, perform full body movements to get more work done in less time, fat loss, & improved power endurance for sports performance.
TRX Blast
The TRX is a suspension training system that instantaneously makes just about any exercise harder & more intense. The TRX suspension trainer is an innovative exercise tool that helps you build lean muscle, boost your metabolism, tighten your core & increase endurance. The TRX Blast class is 15 minutes long & is limited to 5 members per class. It is necessary to reserve your spot in the TRX blast class. Due to the limited space of the TRX class please be sure to attend the classes you sign up for.
Boxing Conditioning
The boxing conditioning class is our only hour long high intensity exercise class. It blends a combination of traditional basic boxing instruction using bags, mits & gloves. Each class also incorporates a vigorous bodyweight calestenics workout at the end. The only requirement for the class is to bring your own pair of gloves to class.
UA Kids
One of the most important components of a youth exercise program is the element of fun. Children should spend some time exploring various movement patterns through game-based play, without the emphasis of actually working out. Urban Athletics Kids is offered to two age groups, 6-9 year olds & 10-12 year olds. Each group meets once a week for 45 minutes of the most fun your child has ever had in an organized activity.
Kettlebell Fusion
The kettlebell fusion classes are a 45 minutes in length mixing kettlebell exercises & bodyweight exercises. Each class covers skill work, to enhance your knowledge of kettlebell training, & then incorporates a full-body, total strength & conditioning workout. Each class is lead by an instructor, taking you through your workout step-by-step, just like personal training without the added cost.. This way you don’t have to worry about what you’re workout will be each day, nor do you have to question if you’re doing an exercise incorrectly. There is always a coach on staff to get you through each workout.
Barbell
The barbell class has an instructional component w/ a focus on strength training. The main purpose is to learn the proper technique of a variety of barbell exercises, while gaining strength. The workouts are challenging as w/ any of our other programs, just in a different way.
Yoga
Although the yoga classes are taught slightly different from day to day & from instructor to instructor, the foundation is in vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa yoga is characterized by a focus on linking the breath w/ movement, & the utilization of the vinyasa, or a flowing sequence, that connects the more static traditional yoga postures. Vinyasa translates as “to place in a particular way” & is characterized by dynamic sequencing of postures.
Open Gym
Each week there are several hours in the morning & several hours in the evening where the training facility is open without classes scheduled. Once you have been a member for 2 weeks you may use the open gym times, regardless of which program you have decided to follow. During the open gym times, coaches are still available to ask questions to as well as to ensure your form is good. This is also a great time to work on specific exercises you may have difficulties w/ or areas you want to improve upon, such as pull ups, deadlifts, presses, etc.

Semi-Private Training
While the group workout environment might not be what you’re looking for, we also offer semi-private training, a unique yet still individualized way to achieve your goals while still working closely w/ a trainer but without paying private training rates. As a semi-private training client you also have unlimited access to all of the group workout times & open gym. If you have specific goals in mind that require specific training, this is your ideal option. The semi-private training membership might also be your best option if you have very specific limitations. All semi-private training sessions range from 1-3 times a week.
Fit Yummy Mummy
Burn your baby fat & get your body back in this 12 week program! Join other moms as you learn fat burning secrets like: Why spending more time doing cardio is preventing you from losing belly fat, How you can do short burst strength training workouts to fire up your metabolism & burn more fat, How simple, supportive nutrition is key shedding the last bit of belly fat & how easy it is to make it work for you! The FYM program is an all inclusive fitness & nutrition program geared toward busy moms. All classes & training programs are held at Urban Athlete, unless otherwise noted. Each program is 12 weeks, billed monthly w/ a month–to–month membership automatically beginning the 4th month.
Nutritional Coaching
Each urban athlete program includes our basic nutrition guidelines for you to follow. However, if you want a more watchful eye on your nutrition & meal planning, designed specifically to support your training goals, you’ll want to take advantage of our Nutritional Coaching. The Nutritional Coaching provides you w/ day-by-day meals & snacks, as well as how to prepare those meals & snacks, to support your health & fitness goals. We can’t do the shopping & cooking for you, but we will tell you exactly what you need to succeed. During your first month of nutritional coaching we will also schedule a time that is convenient for you & take a trip to the grocery store w/ you, to point out the obstacles that marketers convince you w/ that aren’t necessary & potentially harmful to your health & fitness goals. F.L.A.G. – If you’re the type who needs a little extra accountability, the Urban Athlete F.L.A.G. program is perfect for you. The Fat Loss Accountability Group meets twice a month w/ unlimited email & live forum access to the nutrition coach & members. This group produces huge successes in weight loss & staying on track w/ your nutrition program & overcoming daily obstacles.
