- James CJuly 29, 2013Really good museum and the men are veterans that served. They really know what they are talking about. Need to keep History like this ship alive for future generations.
- Jo RhodesAugust 16, 2016UPDATE: Was here last December, didn't have good experience... Contacted the administration was given passes for another visit, an explanation that was reasonable. I look forward to going back!Upvoted Sep 29
- Benedict TreloarOctober 3, 2017Brilliant tours of the whole ship by incredibly knowledgable ex-servicemen - and you can pretend you're in Top Gun. There's nothing not to like!
- Angelica DongalloJuly 20, 2015CA Historical Landmark NO. 1029 USS HORNET - Served in the Pacific in WWII and as the recovery ship for the Apollo 11 (1st moon-landing mission) and Apollo 12 astronauts. Shoutout to our Navy dads ;)
- Anything to do with history is amazing and this ship is no different. More people should go to help raise funds to keep it going.
- USS Hornet - Sea, Air and Space MuseumOctober 31, 2013Allow at least 2 to 3 hours for your visit -- there is a lot to see on the ship. Arrive no later than 2:00pm to sign up for the engine room and other docent-led tours.
- ChingFebruary 23, 2012Plenty of time to tour and admire this famous ship! Take the guided tour first because you'll see places you can't go by yourself that are roped off.
- Brendan EdwardsOctober 20, 2011While the self tour is fine, please take the time to take the docent-led tours. They don't cost any extra, it seems, and you see parts of the ship you wouldn't otherwise see. Great stories too!
- Duane MowrerMarch 31, 2018Awesome historical displays on multiple subjects and time periods. Too much to take in during only one trip.
- Jo RhodesDecember 17, 2015Double checked for events as website recommends nothing mentioned. Rides not available, aft elevator was tented from view. Waited for tour, inquired & was told docent had departed. Demanding refund.
- Beth WellsJanuary 8, 2011The New Years Eve party on the Hornet includes a full big band orchestra and three dance floors. Swing dancing dream come true!
