わんぱく公園は24時間開放されている公園というわけではなく、夏期（4月〜9月）は8:30〜18:30、冬期（10月〜3月）は8:30〜17:30のあいだのみ入場できます。

公園内は全面禁煙のため喫煙は園内に設けられた4ヶ所の喫煙所でのみ可能です。こちらの喫煙所は、ピッピとピコの門をくぐって公園内に入り、道なりに歩いて左手すぐにある公衆トイレの前にあります。
