名古屋市営地下鉄名城線の駅。名古屋港線直通の列車がある程度環状運転してから大曽根止まり→折り返し になる関係で、栄金山方面と八事本山方面とでは本数にかなりの差がある。場合によっては距離的には遠回りでも早着する場合もある。
