    前身は日本統治時代の 1895 年に浄土宗総本山である知恩院の別院として建立された「浄土宗台北別院」。現在地には 1929 年に移転。「善導寺」の名は浄土宗の善導大師に由来。

    善導寺最初是日本佛教淨土宗所設立的佛寺，建於1925年，歷經多次改建，現為九層樓高現代化建築，外觀仍維持簡單樸素調性。內設有佛教書畫文物陳列館可參觀。
