2006年（平成18年）10月28日に特急・通勤特急が終日停車することに。JR神戸線にさくら夙川駅が開業することが決まったため。この時からホームが10両編成対応に延長された。

改札内にロッカーは2箇所。大阪梅田方面ホームの北改札口の近くに25個のロッカーがあります。もう1箇所は神戸三宮方面ホームのエレベーターの手前に6個あります。

アズナスが閉店してしまったので、駅近くにコンビニはありません。1番近いのは、山手幹線沿いに西に行き、グリーンタウン駐車場の近くのセブンイレブンになります。
