山笠の写真を撮る際、ついつい全体を写すために距離をとって遠くから撮影しがちですが、階段の2段目あたりからとると人形の顔も影にならず迫力のある写真が撮れます📸 と、神社のガイドの方が教えてくださいました！

夜の櫛田神社は神秘的。ライトアップされた飾り山が美しい。100円で山笠の説明きけますよ。

干支恵方盤が楼門の頭上、中程にあります。毎年大晦日には新しく迎える年の干支に矢印を合わせ、その年の恵方・方位を示すそうです。

山笠が飾ってあったり、節分の時期には大きなおたふくを潜って入ったり、おみくじが多言語だったり、いろいろ見所あり。裏の焼き餅が美味しいです。

社殿は風神と雷神がお出迎え。境内脇の山笠は、とにかく大きくて派手な博多らしさがあります。

境内は思ったより狭いです。博多祇園山笠の中継のイメージを持ったまま行くと、その狭さにびっくりします。

裏に、梅ヶ枝もちならぬ櫛田のやきもち屋さんがあります。梅ヶ枝もち（と言ってもいいと思うが）が焼きたてで食べられます。
