In the 18th century, 47 ronin avenged their lord’s death before committing hara-kiri. Their stone graves are well preserved at this Zen Buddhist temple, as is their armor in the small on-site museum.

慶長17年（1612年）に徳川家康が外桜田に門庵宗関を招いて創建。寛永18年（1641年）寛永の大火で焼失も、徳川家光の命で現在の高輪の地で再建される。浅野長矩墓および赤穂義士墓は国指定史跡。

納経印(御朱印)は紙にはしていただけませんので、集めている方は帳面をお忘れなく。(その割には、墨書がスタンプの時があったりしますが)

Tombe dei 47 ronin. Non il posto più bello del Giappone forse, ma quello di cui più si conosce la storia. E toccare con mano quello che abbiamo visto prima solo nei film fa un certo effetto...

境内内には浅野長矩墓および赤穂義士墓があります。ぜひ御参りしてお線香をあげて下さい。拝観料は不要、お線香代金のみ￥100。
