If running out of time, definitely can consider this. 8 mins from Longyang Road station to Pudong International Airport station, just 40 yuan with Shanghai transport card. Worth it!
You can tap in using your Shanghai metro card. Totally worth the 50rmb to ride in comfort and saves you so much time instead of being sardined in the metro with your luggage.
Take the Maglev for 40 RMB to/from the airport with your Shanghai Metro card. Runs at 300 km/h most hours, except 430 km/h from 9-10:45 and 3-3:45 each day.
Maglev train goes with a speed of 300km/h from the center of Shanghai city to Pudong international airport, transit time is 7 mins and the fee is 50 chinese yuan
All is nice and organized properly. It's a pity that the speed sometimes is far from 421kmh announced and is only 300kmh same as a standard bullet train wherever in the world.
This is the ONLY commercial maglev train in the world. It’s not any high speed train. The train doesn’t really contact the rail. It’s really cool and very affordable.
The fastest way to the Longyan rd, but not the cheapest one. Taxi would cost around 80-100 rmb, one ticket here - 40 rmb with transposition card, 50 without. But 8 min in 330-410 km/h - worth to try.
The train reaches 300km/hr and from the station, it takes only 7 minutes to the airport and it is cool. From the subway Longyang Rd station, it was a tad difficult to find the entrance to the station
First train leaves 6:45 am so if you have a really early flight better to take a taxi to the airport. But if this applies to you, I suppose it's already too late
