    例大祭はかつて東の祇園と言われた盛大なものだったらしい。樹齢1000年を越す大銀杏は、十二支めぐりをすることができますよ

    秩父氏の一族で河崎氏の祖となる河崎基家が荏原郡河崎荘を開発し、当地に館 (河崎氏館) を置いたと伝わる。当神社も河崎荘の鎮守として勧進されたとされ、周囲の「堀之内」の地名も同館に由来すると言われるが、確たる根拠はない。
