An underrated temple. It is free to enter and nice tranquility of this temple is admirable. Come early to avoid crowds. Amazing structure.

浄土真宗本願寺派の本山で、山号は竜谷山。正式名称は龍谷山本願寺、通称では西本願寺・お西さん。文永9年 (1272年) 親鸞の娘覚信尼が、親鸞像を安置した御影堂を吉水に建てたのを起源とする。国宝の飛雲閣は聚楽第からの移築、書院・唐門などは伏見城の遺構。寺宝に親鸞聖人影像、三十六人家集など多数がある。平成6年 (1994年)「古都京都の文化財」の一つとして世界遺産 (文化遺産) に登録。

書院には、国宝に指定される部屋が幾つもあり、現存する最古の能舞台もあります。襖絵は、狩野派の渡辺了慶や円山応挙の息子が描いたものなどで彩られており、たいへん素晴らしいです。能舞台の松の絵が見える場所と見えない場所があったり、逆遠近法の絵があったり、とさまざまな視覚的トリックもあります。通常非公開ですが、西本願寺の龍虎殿で申込むことで拝観できます。

Pourquoi temple (dont l'entrée est gratuite) est-il si peu visiter, tant il est somptueux, avec sa structure en bois noir? Après tout, tant mieux, cela permet de profiter de la sérénité du lieu.
