Chicken & preserved olive fried rice was good. It was light, with some smoky wok flavour. The egg portion was generous. Yamdessert came with gingko nut. It was good: smooth with good yam flavour.
Excellent Teochew food. Braised pork belly with preserved vegetables was great but pork/prawn rice in soup, seaweed with dumpling & meatball soup and braised duck were good too
House specialoyster omelette very good: crispy, chewy, sticky & flavourful. There was quite a lot of oyster though not much egg (it was mostly starch). The mouthfuls with some oyster were a bit salty
Marinated duck & pig intestine were good. The duck was warm not cold like at some places, yet not overcooked. The intestines were tasty & bouncy. Both & the complimentarytofu were thick cut.
Crab meat & fish maw soup: regular was huge (6 bowls' worth). It tasted OK. It had a lot of fish maw, but it had a spongy texture so it was not so good. There was very little crab, but there was roe.
I can only give this restaurant 2.5 star. First, the waitreses were not friendly, secondly, the steam fish I ordered was not fresh (in cantoness 条立鱼啲肉系“梅”嘎). I will not come back again.
Horrible food. Soups and Chow Mein are over-salted. Hot potrice is just a regular dish dumped on rice. Prepared in 5 minutes, not the 20 minutes it takes to get it properly done. Don't eat here.
