The castle is a great discovery and photo spot overlooking the city. For aperitif see the evening come alive of one of the mini terraces of pruga ismail kadare.

The Hotel Gjirokaster is a real bargain, excellent rooms and a sturdy breakfast. The castle is just stunning. Eat at restaurant Kujtim (also for vegetarians)! The Hoxha house is not much to see.

If you're travelling onward to Berat, AVOID SH74 road unless you have a 4x4. Much of it is a rocky and unpaved.

Старинный город. Аутентичный. С главного замка отличный вид. Много милейших домашних кафе. Просто прогуляться по нему уже интересно. С интерьерами албанских семей можно познакомиться в zakat house
