Bak kut teh (pork ribs soup). Morning Bak Kut Tea #01-72 serves a substantial breakfast offering. Theirs is braised with light soy sauce, a welcome change fr ur usual herbal peppery BKT. Nice!
Having tried the prawn noodle & pig's tail soup from stall #02-60 & #02-68 respectively, stall #02-68 wins for prawn noodle (soup more flavorful) while stall #02-60 wins for pig's tail soup.
Sotong (squid) ball seafood soup. Unique offering from Dong Fang Hong #01-47. $4.50 for smallest bowl but generous ingredients. Standard 3 types: sotong, fish & meat balls, unless u specify preference
Chicken rice. Good value for a set meal from Yong Kee Different Taste Hainanese Chicken Rice 02-24. For S$4, you get a serving of chicken (choice of boiled or roasted), rice, vegetables, pickles, soup
Traditional kaya toast. Enjoyed the local toast @ KayaKaya #01-71. Kaya (local egg custard) was light, not overly sweet. Generous slices of butter. $2.80 together with a hot beverage (try local kopi)
Specialty Dry ChilliNoodle ($5) from Noodle Memories 02-27 was delicious! Enjoyed the distinct flavours. Mix all the ingredients together & enjoy. U may want to balance the extra spicychilli sauce
Curry chicken noodles. Heng Kee 01-58 serves a generous and tasty bowl. Their curry base is thick and flavourful. For added spicy kick, add the chilli sauce
#stervylicious #prawnmee .the secret is in the soup- well simmered with taste of sweet prawn meat. The noodles are silky smooth & The ingredient is decent n fresh. Must try ! Hoe Lee prawn mee - #02-26
The duck rice/ noodle/ kway chap from stall #02-18 near the char kway teow falls under the radar but is really worth a try. Other standout is Cantonese Delights whose noodles is much better than QiJi.
Fishball noodles ($4). Generous serving from Teochew Fishball Kway Teow #02-65. My bowl had 2 fishballs, a fishdumpling, slices fish cake & pork, & minced pork. Soup was full of seafood flavour too
Nasi Lemak. Enjoyed a serving from Hengli KampungNasi Lemak #02-69. Chilli is the savoury style. Since they serve Nasi Padang too, asked for & enjoyed their curry. A complete set 😋
Chicken curry noodles. Ah Heng #02-58 offers a curry base that is less spicy than Heng Kee downstairs (if u don't add their chilli sauce). Good till the very last drop👍🏻
Roasted meats. Char siew (BBQ pork) & sio bak (roasted pork) from The Legend #01-50 are good, above average, I'd say. Well caramelised, tender. Roasted pork skin was crunchy
Lor mee ($5). Forgettable bowl from Chuan Bee #02-54. Of all the toppings, I only recognised sliced braised pork & fishcakes. The fried “fish” nugget & fried yam balls were not nice to bite into
Wantan Mee. The noodles from Cantonese Delights #02-03 were springy, a delight to bite. Coupled with sweet char siew slices (BBQ pork) & wantans with bits of water chestnuts, & we hv a winner
Roasted meats. Lee Kheong Roasted Delicacy #02-15 is so popular that his limited roasted offerings are sold out by 1pm-1:30pm during work day lunch daily
Braised duck rice. Expect clean flavours from An Kee 02-18. A decent alternative when their popular neighbouring stalls (minced meat noodles, fried kway teow) have long queues

Bak chor mee (minced pork noodles). Decent bowl from Ah Kow MushroomMinced Pork Mee #02-42. Compared to nearby Tai Wah #02-16, this bowl lacks the heady umami. Smallest serving $5
Hawker centre with lots of good local food here. Will not go wrong with the ones with a queue. Most hawkers operate only during the day for lunch. Dinner time is deserted.
Prawn Noodles. Unimpressed with Hoe Lee #02-26. Prawnsoup while flavourful, was diluted & could do with more aroma. $4 got me 2 prawns, halved & pork slices
Duck rice. Ah Heng Duck Rice 02-64 dishes out lean cuts that taste just right. Not overly marinated nor herbal. Sauce is oily though. Served without soup
Fantastic old time hawker food. Must trys include Ah Kow minced pork noodles, Outram fried kuay teow and Ah Heng curry chicken noodles. Highly recommended!
Pork noodle (bak chor mee): 4get abt long q's @ main branch (Crawford Lane). Tai Hwa #02-16 (a relative) serves dis delicious noodles fr as early as 8:30am on weekdays
This food court has two floor, the layout is bit confusing, not enough cleaner so many tables left with dirty dishes; however food here is good and many shops are legendary among SG food scene.
