This is shin osaka station and not Osaka station. make sure you download the maps of the subway and JR line and have an idea on which lines and direction you need to be. Enjoy!

Major station in Osaka along the Shinkasen lines between major cities in Japan ( from Tokyo to Hakata). There're express and local trains to the airports and to other major cities of the Prefecture.

Bullet train stops here (rather than Osaka station). It is one stop but everything starts from Osaka station in Osaka

Purchase a JR pass if you're traveling Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka (foreigners). Its way more convenient without getting in ticket queues or getting lost.?!

Don't go to the toilet while taking this train, just don't. You'll regret it cause when u get out from the toilet it is all tunnel *from shin osaka to shin kobe route My dad so unlucky haahaha

大阪府における新幹線の代表駅であり、唯一の新幹線停車駅であるとともに東海道新幹線の終点及び山陽新幹線の起点。東海道・山陽新幹線の全列車が停車するほか、当駅を始終着とする列車が数多い。2011年3月12日からは全線開業した九州新幹線からの列車が当駅まで乗り入れを開始。また新幹線に接続して北陸や山陰・南紀・関西空港等の在来線特急列車が発着し、北近畿ビッグXネットワークではその一端を担う。

1・2番のりばは関空特急はるか (京都行。2番のりばは当駅止まり)、3番のりばは関空特急はるか (関西空港行)、特急くろしお、4番のりばは特急サンダーバード・特急ひだ、5・6番のりばは東海道線米原・名古屋方面、7・8のりばは東海道線・福知山線大阪・岡山・福知山方面、9・10番のりばは主に特急こうのとり・Sはくと。東海道・山陽新幹線は20〜22番線が博多・鹿児島中央方面、23〜27番線が東京方面。

新大阪では東海道・山陽新幹線/東海道本線/地下鉄御堂筋線が接続。境界駅の一つで新幹線はJR東海が管轄、在来線はJR西日本が管轄する。JR東海では新幹線を含めて当駅が最西端駅であり、逆に最東端は東京駅となる。JR西日本・JR東海の駅は第4回近畿の駅百景・百選に選定。

駅構内から濡れずに屋根付き通路を歩いて、新大阪駅北側のニッセイビルに入るためには、駅内レストラン街の上の３F新幹線中央改札を北に進むと右手に阪急ビルビルテナント入り口、左手に下り階段があるのでそこを降りて進んでいくと出ることができます。地下鉄の駅が２Fなのでそこを目指せば良いのかなというのは実は罠なので注意。※JR駅から地下鉄改札は２つあるのです。

黄色い新幹線・ドクターイエロー（新幹線電気軌道総合試験車）が接近してくると、電光掲示板に「回送　9**　回送列車です。この列車にはご乗車いただけません。」と表示されます。（ドクターイエローの列車番号は殆んどが980～990番台です。）因みに、ドクターイエローに遭遇する確率は1万分の3で、肉眼で見たり携帯の待受けにすると幸せになるという都市伝説があります。

The Train Stamp "新幹線で東へ西へ関西の玄関口の駅" is located near the paid area of the ticket gate at East Exit of the local train line and you will need help from the staff or you can go to the green windows room

東京行の最終に乗る場合タクシーで行くと場合注意。2Fに行くスロープが混雑して動かなくなることがあり､下手すると荷物持ってダッシュすることになる。

大阪で唯一の新幹線駅です。在来線はJR西日本が管轄しており、JR京都線やおおさか東線が乗り入れています。特急は、関空方面のはるか、和歌山方面のくろしお、北陸方面のサンダーバード、北近畿や飛騨、山陰方面の特急の乗換駅です。

新幹線からの乗り換えでよく利用します。御堂筋線(地下鉄)からでもJRからでも2，3駅ほどで大阪駅(梅田)に行けますので、アクセスも良好と言えるでしょう。天王寺や心斎橋に用があるのでしたら、御堂筋線に乗れば一本で行けます。

2013年春のダイヤ改正により27番線ホームが供用開始。また、JR東海の声で「さくら」「みずほ」や、九州新幹線内の駅名が放送されるのはこの駅だけ。

東海道新幹線、山陽新幹線と東海道本線の乗り換え駅。大阪市営地下鉄御堂筋線の同名駅に接続。山陰、北近畿、南紀、北陸、飛騨、関西国際空港への特急列車が乗り入れる賑やかな駅です。大阪駅へは新快速、快速、普通のいずれに乗っても一駅なので便利です。

改札を出た一回には、神戸屋をはじめとする有名なパン屋さんや豚まん屋さんなどがあります。大阪市営地下鉄御堂筋線への乗り換えも便利です。

「新大阪駅から3分」といった近隣のアクセス案内には注意。構造が悪いので、駅から出るだけでも5分はかかります。
