Good curry, love the fried chicken & fish. But, servers put Indian customers first. Eventho, you're there much earlier and called for service, servers will attend to Indian customers first.
My fav lunch spot with family members. Parking was difficult though. Service was acceptable slow considering the big crowds. We took the open air area covered the trees shade. Enjoyed my lunch 👌🏼👍
Fried sotong and banana leaf rice for RM17.20 say whaaaaaat? But defo worth it, and the bathrooms are so freaking atas. Still love this place, have been eating here for over a decade now.
As usual, this is my favourite lunch venue. Service is superbly efficient and food was excellent. Crowds began coming in as we started our lunch. The trick is - come slightly early for lunch 12noon
Very busy Indian restaurant. Try out their sardine chapati. Taste healthy haha. Nonetheless banana leaf rice isn't too bad too. A good place for Indian food and it's not too spicy. Crowded area.
Fried Chicken is juicy and crispy! A must try with your banana leaf rice. Off course Mango lassi is a perfect combination. Please have a bigger glass serving for lassi haha
They have fresh milk. Tip is when u dont want a dish, mean it. They might just make u take one. But food is nice here. I asked for nasi india for a healthier version of white rice. Good banana leaf
2nd time tis week for lunch. Good just great - had my usual Ikan Kerisi & Burung Puyuh with Teh 'O' for 2 pax at $42.00. Quite steep for lunch but that's the price at banana leafrestaurant
So.. This is the best banana leaf, as voted by The Star? First, they mock a green paper as banana leaf. Secondly, they dont have fried bitter gourd. Third, food is 😐 but the curries are hell spicy.
Normal set 3 type of vege + quarter fried chicken (the best) + drink will cost you RM 14-15. Yup expensive. But I think it's worth it. Nice place to hangout also.
Excellent service the minute we sat down. All the waiters are superbly prompt to serve customers. The service alone beats the crap at Raju Banana Leaf hands down. Favourite Indian restaurant
banana leaf rice sedap! eat with your hands whenever possible, to fully savour the delicious combination of curries, meats, assortment of vegetables, rice and crispy papadom i like!! :)
Sambalprawn, fried chicken, fish, sotong & Masalamutton's good. A little overpriced but you keep coming back coz Kanna's the McDonald of banana leaf rice.
Mutton curry meat here is tender and soft while the fried chicken was crispy and tasty. The only drawback, they used fake banana leaf. -Penang Kia Food Critique-
B4 Devi's in bangsar I used to love it here ! Here falls short in everything .... Go try Devi's banana leaf rice in bangsar lar Wei ! Awesome crab curry !!!!
Now using fake banana leaf(paper). Cold drinks served in paper cups. No more authenticbanana leaf rice experience. Rice & curries served cold.. In short quality dropping even though expand 3 shoplots
Great place for banana leaf. Need to get used to the process of ordering to avoid waiting in disappointment. ~RM8 for fried squid and ~RM3 for fried onion is quite competitive!
As usual, service was super efficient. Food & drinks was wonderfully taste. Never ceased to amazed. Malaysian restaurants must learn from Hanna about service
Newly reno. Clean, bright & cool. Service today was ok. Not bad. Banana leaf rice was gd. Vege choice always delish. Luv d fried tenggiri n fried chicken. Hwvr, I hate it tt ppl r allowed to smoke.
Time for good lunch break. The usual fried chicken, fish & squid. Good served almost immediately, it's getting better and better. Solute to Kanna and his boys.
The crab curry ('nandoo curry') is only served upon request. The same with salted fish curry. Make sure you ask for them when having banana leaf rice. If not, they will serve only the normal 3 curries
Food is gr8 & roti Canai is wow! Thing I dun gt is; Am I d only punk who ain't buyin dat paper leaf s##t these retards sell? Banana leaf meal in a paper leaf represents the lowest point in my life.
Food is ok , mutton was nice but had lots of bone and fat, fried chicken and squid not bad. On the pricey side - mutton Rm9.80, squid Rm8.40, chicken Rm6, rice Rm6.80.
It's a modern banana leaves Nasi Kandar concept where they will serve you the rice and side dishes when you sat down. However it is a bit pricey. Min RM12.60 with one chicken. Food is alright.
Arrvd 6pm & found half d restaurant with dirty tables uncleared. A few staff around were unresponsive, orders for food ignored☹️. By 630pm supervisor Rabindar came back & got things back in order 👏🏻
Won't come here for BLR now; but it's the only place where you can still get your roti/chapati fix during lunch when everywhere else doesn't have that option. Lucky chapati still RM1.60 each :P
Pretty packed with hungry customers for brunch. Traffic is crawling & have to double parked in the car for vacant parking spot. As usual, swift service with appetising dishes to due for.
Go for their standard banana leaf rice and add-on the mutton varuval and fried sotong. Service can be a bit slow but the food will make up for it.Go on a Friday and you might get free payasam!
