This temple was quite a surprise. Thinking it was going to be a small little temple, it actually turned out to be a large, beautiful cave that contained stairs leading to the top of the mountain
I recommend to bring some drink up here to enjoy and relieve your thirsty throat when u reach the peak. Don't forget to bring bottles, cans or any garbages down. Let's keep our environment clean. :)
Be careful on the narrow steep steps when going up and down the hill. The furthest pavilion was occupied by foreigner workers (prolly picnicking) and it's a shame we couldn't get through it.
Within the huge limestone caves of Gunung Tasek, Perak Tong Temple... built in 1926 by a Buddhist priest from China. Beyond the main altar, a passage leads into the cave's interior. After a steep climb of 385 steps, the cave opens again to reveal a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.(Show more)
