Built around 1933, these are the stairs leading up and away from the former pro-Nazi compound. Continue up to the empty water tower and further up to get back to Sullivan Fire Road.

The stairs are not for the faint if heart. Be prepared to hold yourself up, there is not hand rail.

Take the stairs at the first chain fence for a strenuous hike. Go to the gate entrance for a more casual one. Driveway right to the barn, left to other ruins.

It's about 500 steep steps down into the canyon.
