The biggest and well saved Medieval plaza in Europe! Lonely Planet's no.1 choice: the most beautiful European citymarket! Wonderful atmosphere - summer and evenings. Always fulfilled with tourists.
There is a quite cheap and a bit "hidden" coffee bar with beautiful view on the main market. Just walk into museum in Sukiennice (building in the center of market) and go upstairs on the second floor.
The first UNESCO World Heritage List from 1978 year had only 12 the most valuable objects from around the world. One of them was Krakow - the Old City, the Royal Wawel Castle and jewish Kazimierz.
It has an amazing and charming atmosphere and architecture here is the best! You should visit Cafe on the second floor of Sukennice it has a normal prices in comparison with other restaurants on Rynek
A must-to is visit to museums, both the underground one to inform about history (~1,5h) and the one at first floor of Sukiennice (image) where you can educate about polish art in 4 time periods (~1h).
Very big square with many touristattractions and restaurants mainly. Perfect for people watching. You will notice many tourist or student groups walking around. Crowded, watch out pickpockets.
The entire medieval old town of Krakow is a UNESCO's World Heritage List. The Rynek Główny is one of it's most important sites being the largest medieval town square of any European city.
Many restaurants. Good for lunch, dinner, beer, glass of wine...:-) Do not give the impression of being a tourist, you will be surrounded by "guides"... Friendly atmosphere, relaxed and calm.

what I know this is the largest marketplace of middle Europe. Beautiful place and don't mis the honderds of pubs and restaurants that are hidden in beautiful cellars
Nice Christmas market! Try grzianec - like gluhwein ;) definitely try polish grilled cheese and buy krówka of different tastes ( the best - adwokat) @ market
The queues for autographs circled halfway across the square during the infamous Poet's Meeting events, a central part of the city's programme as EU Capital of Culture in 2000.
