Take the Trolley Tour early in the morning! You'll get a great city overview & it will help you figure out which sites to visit. You can also use it as a bus to get to these places all day long!
Salem has great places, OrangeLeaf, frozen yogurt self selrved; right next door taqueria Howling Wolf taqueria. The nail place next to it, provide great service too, in case you need your nails done.
A fun town to visit for a day or two. Most of Salem’s Witch history has been removed and now it’s a bunch of corny museums. Note: Not many public restrooms and long lines for the few that you find.
Washington street in downtown Salem is the place to be. Great restaurants/bars. GULU - GULU Cafe is a must see, great beer menu and extravagant European/Mediterranean food. iamdm3 rate: 8/10
Salem was founded in 1630 and was originally called Naumkeag which meant "fishing place". Salem was a large area that eventually all became separate cities and towns.
I have to say I felt a little bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's a really beautiful place, but I was hoping for more haunting stuff. Like a place with an special vibe, not a tourist trap.
