Room 209 was very quiet. Cool, calm environment & bars, great, masculine design. Loved free wifi, light switches, wooden scent in the hallways.

The Clarence is known for Octagon Bar & accompanying octagonal glass dome, owned by Bono & The Edge. Rumors suggest they can often be seen drinking here when in Dublin. Read more

Bono & Edge owned hotel. Fabulous location on the River Liffey and Temple Bar. Pleasant environment but the hotel needs work through and through. But U2 has been trying to rebuild it for years so...

Nice hotel and great cocktails. Worth mentioning that it's owned by Bono and The Edge. Yes, from the best rock band in the world.

Hotel rooms going cheap all over Dublin. The Clarence is no exception right now. Try to avoid the ones overlooking East Essex Street and the Purty Kitchen if you want some sleep.
