2 hour fare is now $2.50 and it's $5 for an all day pass. The Red line will take you right into downtown. (March 2014)

You can just use Apple Pay (or probably the Android one also) to just tap the green kiosk and jump on the train. No need to buy a ticket.

Almost always on time, every 15 mins or better during peak times - the best and cheapest way into downtown Portland! $2.50 - pay with your phone!

Fare is now $2.80 as of Summer 2024. You can get a ticket at the machines at the far west end of baggage claim but it's easier to just add a virtual hop card to your phone OR use a digital wallet card

Seriously, unless you're being chased by a pack of fast zombies, is there any reason NOT to get to and from the airport this way?

So much easier than taking a cab. $2.50 for a 2-hour pass and takes you directly downtown.

Who needs a rental? Not me..this is the best way to travel. Just don't expect dollar bills as change. Lots and lots of quarters can be expected when breaking a twenty for a two hour pass. Read more

If there's a line at the pay station inside there's two machines outside, too.

MAX operators would rather chat with each other instead of drive the trains. Also rude assholes when you point this out. Not worth the fare.
