You must buy a "toll" pass in order to drive in Austria AND you must have a yellow or orange vest to wear in case you break down. It's a 70 euro fine if you do not have the vest & higher w/o the pass

Quite "cheap" (much cheaper than in Germany) petrol station right behind border (Austrian side!)!

Since Schengen treaty and Austria's join to European Union as a member in 1994 there are no regular border controls at this border anymore - only no notice spot checks.

Warum braucht es an der deutsch-österreichischen Grenze Kontrollen??? Zeit- und Geldverschwendung!!!!

Bei Grenzkontrollen >AT kann ein „Ausweichen“ über die Tank-/Rastanlage Zeit sparen.
