I've explored a number of the big name ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains and Vail is at the top of the list. Spectacular sights. A one of a kind experience for skiers and boarders of all levels.

Ride the gondola to the top of the ski mountain and walk down amid colorful wildflowers, or for a more heart-pumping adventure, hike up the mountain and catch the gondola back down.

Try skiing in UT(Alta/Snowbird), MT(Big Sky), WY(Jackson), CA(Mammoth/Kirkwood/Tahoe) and Canada(Whistler/Revelstoke), they are all better than anything Vail or Colorado has to offer.

Vail's gondola is open for mountain biking & disc golf. Best thing is the bar at the top of the gondola is offering $2.50 tap beers during the World Cup. They have Stella & the best view!

Try parking near the City Market and Safeway along the frontage road before you go and shell out $25 to the Town of Vail for garage parking. There aren't many spots so get there early.
