Emma KirkmanApril 11, 2011Flying out of gate 46 - 50 before 8 am? Don't follow the signs for costa coffee. NOT OPEN early in the morning.- Early mornings trying to get a coffee amongst the holiday makers? Costa at gate 48 is empty
Make sure you buy an express security pass, security here is super slow.
Make sure you have your toiletries in the clear plastic bag the right size...they charge for the same bags other airports give for free..wtf

Give yourself at least 30+ for security as the cues are crazy.!!
Instead of queing for the self service checkin machines by desks 65-69, use the ones by desks 1-5, they're usually empty!

Cheeky gits charge you a £1 just to drop off and pick up.
Go through priority security for £3 and skip the queues!- Park at the railway station and get air rail to terminal...avoid NCP rip off prices
Save the expense and queue's by living abroad in the first place.
The new Departures passenger security area has just opened and boy is there a queue. Going thru security has gone from a 2 to a 20 minute ordeal. Give yourself plenty of time
