- One of the highlights of London. Good for a bite - unrivalled for a pre-banquet shop.
- Freshly baked food. Get off at London Bridge station. Try to arrive early, between 10am and 11am to avoid the crowd.

- Get down to the market for the end of trading hours to find some real bargains. Fish and bread, amongst other things, can be got for half price.
- Get there early, like 8.30, before the tourists, when the foodies and chefs turn up. Stall holders are a little more generous!
