- Rodrigo OliveiraJanuary 29, 2017I can confirm everything good is being said. Delicious food and lovely 'old school' place.
- Diego SartoriJanuary 16, 2015If you want to visit so you can say you've been in the oldest restaurant bla bla, good! Otherwise, it's a tourist trap, my calamari was like a chewing gum, everything else bad. Not to be repeated.
- ben benobiFebruary 2, 2015Oldest restaurant in the world. You can expect very expensive down-to-earth dishes. Hearty and tasty
- JOctober 2, 2015Food is ok - mostly nice but can probably find the same or better for a lower price (but skip the grilled veal). Do reserve at least a day ahead, we booked the same day and got 11:30pm.
- Maggie TanOctober 10, 2012Highly recommended! Nice food! Must try roast suckling pig! Must do reservation early. Open only from 8pm to 12 midnight.
- Anne SaulovichApril 13, 2012Known for being the oldest restaurant in the world, founded in 1725! Apparently Goya even worked here!! ;)
- Ilya SergeySeptember 19, 2013Book a table online in advance! It makes sense to do it 4-5 days upfront.
- GregWasThereFebruary 5, 2023Definitely special as one of the oldest restaurant in the world. Food was ok, not fancy. Need to book
- Alan KavcicFebruary 17, 2017Roasted suckling pig is a speciality, but also try the cheesecake as a desert.
- Maira🌀 DerMarch 13, 2015Touristic but traditional and excellent food! Cod with tomato sauce and black sausage!!!
- Rachel McKissockJune 28, 2014The torta de San Marcos and the piña fresca con caramelos are absolutely amazing.
- Kevin SOctober 1, 2018Extremely touristic. There’s not much to write home about really. The food is ok but with the price it charges, you would probably call it expensive. I am here so I could say “been there, done that!”
- MiSST·Made in Spain Shopping TourJune 8, 2012As you enter you really feel how old this restaurant actually is. There is always great service - even if you go in to take a photo! Read more
- Jose TamayoMarch 13, 2016Tourist and locals for cochinillo and Cordero to lechal. Not the best, but a most once in a life. Ask to be sitted downstairs.
- Y YJune 30, 2018Expensive, overrated because it’s old so they use it to charge you expensive prices. I’m sure you can find somewhere else to have good suckling pig. One small piece over here costs €25!!
- Hani AlawadhiApril 28, 2015I'm happy that I experienced the oldest restaurant in the world but the food was a big fail.
- Marjorie CFebruary 19, 2018Hate to be a downer but found the food to be average at best and not worth the hype - bordered on being a tourist trap, honestly. Try your luck elsewhere.
- Good food and friendly staff. Vintage feel.
- Catherine IndelicatoJune 12, 2016Roast suckling pig was very good , but overall I wasn't impressed with food !
- João NeveAugust 30, 2014It's OK, but not worth the hype. Go there for the suckling pig. Other dishes we tried were very dissapointing (including a very chewy beef). Unfortunately, only the big portion sizes justify the price
- Sinan ButtemJanuary 2, 2018Place with historical name.Good to see once .Not very expensive as presumed.Delicious food but not the best
- Sam SharmaApril 11, 2014If you are a vegetarian, you are out of luck here. The only salad is a bowl of fresh cut vegetables.
- ❄️Arctic Princess❄️April 3, 2011The oldest restaurant in the World. Built in 1725. Great food & service! Featured on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations TV show

- Mary P.May 8, 2013I came in by myself and they treated me like a Queen. A totally class establishment.
