- Kayla SimmonsMay 19, 2015The fries are awesome amd shared a small pizza which is enough for two people! We had the special pizza of the night a pepperoni, bacon, cilantro, jalapeno something and it was so delicious!
- Caprese panini is very tasty, but extremely sloppy to eat. It all slipped out from between the bread when I picked it up. Still worth it.
- Mark AlvesFebruary 18, 2013If you like your beer darker rather than lighter, get the 1634. Great mix of flavors. It's so popular that BA now offers it year round instead of seasonally.
- The Scotch Ale is the smoothest dark beer I've ever had. Even my wife likes it. It isn't available very often and sells out quickly. Grab it if you have the chance.
- Greg S.March 27, 2016A nice little brew pub. My bulgogi burrito was flavorful but the steak was a bit tough. Burgers looked really big.
- Bryan BenoitAugust 2, 2015Pete's Smoked Pulled Pork Barbeque was awesome. Their homemade IPA was the best I've had in a long time.
- curtis mathewsNovember 29, 2018Good selection of beer. They keep it seasonal. Good selection of food. Everything from BBQ to seafood.
- Trevor BaldwinJune 4, 2014The Maybach brews are a summer seasonal, and great if you're looking for a dark, flavorful taste that won't knock you back if you're on a budget.
- LaurieMay 31, 2015Great place for a date, awesome food, great beer, go for Frederick's first Saturdays, but be prepared to wait!
- Mike MurenDecember 3, 2015Great place for a late afternoon happy hour in a great location within walking distance from the office.
- MarylandFebruary 22, 2013In 1864, Confederate General Jubal Early collected a $200,000 ransom for the city of Frederick. You'll find the ransom letter on the second floor.
- Roy RiggsOctober 16, 2013GalA apple goat cheese wood fired pizza and oatmeal stout beer. Or. Turkish stew on saffron yellow rice
- New seasonal beers are amazing! Razz brown ale, blueberry wheat, and riot rye from monocacy! Try them all! Amazing!
- Rachel LSeptember 1, 2014The chipotle avocado burger was delicious. And so were the beef nachos. Great beers too !
- The beer and bar atmosphere is great! Gets kinda busy tho. Wednesday is Cajun Night. Opera House IPA is amazing (when they have it!)

- Fred ManzanaresAugust 7, 2015Great food great atmosphere. Be prepared to wait if you don't time your visit.
- Dean MiletichOctober 31, 2011the 1634 Ale is a winner...also try any of their seasonal beers. cuban panini is tasty with only a hint of spicy.
- Ashley GrimleyOctober 14, 2014Bacon wrapped filet was great but the crab stuffed mushrooms were 10/10
- Justin DeckerOctober 31, 2011Beer here is really great. Seasonal pumpkin is one of the best I have had, second only to Pumpking.
- Randy DelsackMay 26, 2016Better than average bar food and great beers. Big and loud! Skip the turkey burger, yuck.
- The Pete's Pulled pork BBQ and fries always awesome! The pizzas are among the best in town!
- Julia LachmanJune 25, 2013Don't get the fried mozzarella from the happy hour menu. The beer was good though, especially the IPA and kolsch. Didnt have any other food this (1st) visit.
- Everyone's go to in downtown Frederick. Everyone can't be wrong!
- If you like lighter beers, step away from the standards and try Brewer's Alley's Kolsch or Pilsener.
- The 1634 is the perfect middle of the road choice. Rye is your friend.
- Calamari is fantastic. Pair it with the Oyster Stew, or the Red Pepper and Tomato Bisque.
