Brunello di Montalcino

This wine has a very rich, ripe, red fruit character with underlying power and concentration. The tannins are sweet and velvety and overall showing beautiful balance and finesse. The lengthy finish shows off the multiple layered structure and incredible depth of the wine. The final blend consists of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon (comprised of seven Cabernet clones) with 1% of each Petit Verdot and Merlot. Once again, the number of cases is quite small, just short of 250 of the 2010 Checkerboard

The 2015 vintage is full of energy. The initial nose is spicy with forward notes of cinnamon, vanilla, blonde tobacco, and cumin. With a swirl, highly expressive lily and rose aromas immediately lift from the glass, followed by a dark bouquet of black currant and boysenberry. The mouthfeel is characterized by round and silky tannins with great tension and energy. Fresh summer fruits are dominant with a hint of bayleaf and black olive, with earthier notes and spices building complexity as the wine lingers in a suave and long finish, characteristic of the Eisele Terroir

The 2016 vintage has an incredible senso of elegance and finesse pained with beautiful richness and depth. Deep ruby/purple, with cassis and kirsch fruits as well as stunning notes of tobacco and toast. This is cabernet sauvignon at its most complex, seamless, and elegant
